Great win by Auckland Women’s Under Five Representative team at Milford Sunday winning eight out of nine games. Cool head’s and tenacity in the Under Five men’s team especially the triples, saw the men also with six wins out of nine games. They secured the win with a massive +81 points differential well ahead of second placed North Harbour who also had 18 game points with a differential of +14. Third was Northland with 15 game points and a differential of +15 and Fourth was BOP with three game points and -107

Each of the disciplines had two wins so a good team effort.

Open / Development Men

“Job well done” sums up the Men’s Open and Development Squads who played against Northland, North Harbour and Bay of Plenty last Sunday at Browns Bay.

All four Centres fielded strong experienced teams with some formidable results from Auckland combinations in all disciplines.

Congratulations go to the Men’s Open squad coming second overall.

The Selectors look forward to the Squads working together with a view of success in another “hit out” early December.

Open / Development Women

Both Squads braved windy conditions at Mairangi Bay last Sunday having a successful run against North Harbour, BOP and Northland.

The Auckland squads came second overall pleasing the Selectors with their overall performance. The Open Squad with the injection of new players this year had a solid performance throughout the day.

The Development squad showed the Selectors they are going to be a force to reckon with. Robyn Reihana of Te Atatu was “player of the day” with magnificent draw bowls.

Many Auckland spectators came over the Bridge to encourage and support both the Teams at both venues. Well done Auckland.
