Please read the following notes when reviewing the attached DRAFT Playing Programme for 2019-2020.

NOTE:   Do not complete your club programmes until the FINAL Auckland Bowls programme has been confirmed on the 31st May 2019.

Auckland Open 2-4-2 Mixed Pairs: After your feedback on this event it was decided that the Mixed Pairs would be moved from Auckland Anniversary Weekend to Friday 10th, 11th and 12th of January 2020. This will ensure that there are no clashes with other major events and allowing for the maximum number of entries.

1-5 Year Events: Due to the smaller numbers in these events, it was decided that from next season the Pairs, Triples and Fours will be any combination, any 1-5 player not able to form a full team at their club can then place a single entry – the centre will then put together teams based on your club first and then club groups. No composite teams will be allowed other than through the single-entry process.

Singles will remain as separate Men’s and Women’s Titles.

Options for Interclub:

We have four options to consider for Saturday Interclub:

Option one: Sections of 8, in sides of 8 playing the same format as last season (fours and 2 pairs): 2 November (two games), 9 November (two games) and 16 November (three games) with a reserve 23 November. Three weeks with a reserve day. Total of four weeks allocated in the calendar.

Option two: Sections of 8, in sides of 8 playing the same format as last season (fours and 2 pairs) with the addition of a Finals Day: 2 November (two games), 9 November (two games) and 16 November (three games) with a Finals day on 23 November. Top four teams in each Division play Semi’s and Finals to decide a Division winner. Bottom four teams in each division play-off for relegation (or to avoid relegation!). Reserve Day on 30 November. Total of five weeks allocated in the calendar.

Option three: Sections of 8, in sides of 8 playing a new format – 1 four, 1 pair and 1 single with the 8th player marking. In the afternoon those that played fours will play the pairs and singles and vice versa: 2 November (two games), 9 November (two games) and 16 November (three games) with a reserve 23 November. Three weeks with a reserve day. Total of four weeks allocated in the calendar.

Option four: Sections of 8, in sides of 8 playing a new format – 1 four, 1 pair and 1 single with the 8th player marking. In the afternoon those that played fours will play the pairs and singles and vice versa, with the addition of a Finals Day: Top four teams in each Division play Semi’s and Finals to decide a Division winner. Bottom four teams in each division play-off for relegation (or to avoid relegation!). Reserve Day on 30 November. Total of five weeks allocated in the calendar.

In your feedback please confirm which of the above options you would prefer.
